Falcons “SOAR” in Math Class by Meeting PMS Expectations!
Phillips’ Students are S (safe) O (organized) A (active) R (respectful) LEARNERS!
1) Students must have a pass in hand when in the hallways. (Safe)
2) Students may only have binders and chrome books during the school day. Backpacks and string bags must be stowed in lockers before 1st period and may be retrieved after the dismissal bell. String bags may be used when going to or coming back from gym. (Organized)
3) Students must be in the classroom and ready to learn when the bell rings. Students must remain in class for the first 5 minutes and during the last 5 minutes of class. (Active Learners)
4) Students’ personal technology may only be used with teacher permission and while in a learning environment. (Active Learners)
5) Students should respect others by keeping their hands to themselves and not disturbing someone else's belongings. (Respectful)
Ms. Eaton's Procedures/Expectations
Start of Class: Enter quietly. Be prepared. Be seated quickly. Write down homework and take out completed homework, if applicable. Start warm-up.
During Class: Stay on task. Participate. Stay quiet when someone else is speaking. Respect each other's space and belongings.
End of Class: Put away materials when directed to. Clean up desk area. Class is dismissed by the teacher.
Behavioral Interventions
It is a student’s right and privilege to learn and a teacher’s right and privilege to share his/her knowledge with the students. No student should be allowed to keep another student from learning, nor a teacher from teaching; therefore, the following interventions will be enforced as necessary.
1. Verbal Warning
2. Student Reflection Form
3. Loss of Activity and/or Lunch Detention, and Parent Notification
4. Parent Conference w/ Team and Counselor, to be scheduled
5. Office Referral
Note: Teacher may proceed to a higher intervention if warranted.
